Welcome Kalets

The e-mail string had been getting a bit confusing, with so many e-mails crossing, that through discussions I thought this approach might work best. Post as you feel the need, add info about family history, start a discussion string -- whatever we feel will keep the family connected.

The blog allows for photos and videos to be posted, as well, though I may experiment with complementary blogging tools. I've been using Blogger for awhile (for my Channel Surfing and poetry blogs) , so I think I can answer questions if need be.

As part of this introductory post, I am including the group photo from Saturday's wonderful get-together -- thanks to Henry for taking the shot and to Henry and Karen for hosting. And thanks to Adina for helping to pull this together.

Also included are two other group shots, one from my dad's bar mitzvah (above), the other is from an event we have not been able to identify (below). If anyone has any thoughts as to what it is -- and who the white-haired woman on the far left of the undated shot is -- chime in.

So, get posting and start thinking about dates in the fall and/or March/April 2009.

Hank

LET'S SEE WHAT MORTY AND IRWIN AND HORTY THINK ABOUT THIS

IN THE PICTURE WHICH IS TITLED
1951

THE PERSON ON FAR LEFT, STANDING IS COUSIN TEDDY (KAHN), NEXT TO HIM IS UNCLE DAVE, THEN UNCLE HENRY THEN IRWIN

SITTING BELOW THEM ARE AUNT ROSE KALET, AUNT ROSE NITZBERG AND AUNT LIL

IN THE PICTURE DATED "NO DATE" THE WOMAN IN THE MIDDLE SITTING TO MORTY'S LEFT IS AUNT ANNA WHO BROUGHT EVERYONE TO THE STATES

I THINK WE HAVE IDENTIFIED EVERYONE ELSE EXCEPT FOR THE WOMAN SITTING AT THE FAR LEFT UNDER UNCLE DAVE WITH THE BIG CIGAR IN HIS MOUTH!!!
